Most of us see scores of cars every day: commuter cars, work trucks, minivans and crossovers, sports cars, freight movers, etc.
What vehicle represents your hometown most?
For me, it’d probably be the hardworking commercial - but usually privately-owned - pickup. Usually white, almost always with logos on the doors and tailgate, with the driver’s livelihood carried in the cab and bed.
I wish these beds were a factory option; opening the bed up could be much better than having a step to use to reach down into the bed for access.
How about it, Oppo? Is there a particular vehicle that seems to echo your hometown’s populace?

Pick ups. Whether they’re commercial or private they’re everywhere.. I love living in a small town.

Easy. Any GMT SUV, Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, they’re everywhere. That and the Traverse family. It’s cause everyone in my town has boats and 2 1/2 kids plus all their goddamn little friends that they have to take to the cottage every summer, and have the mom drive around by herself in the winter.
Incidentally, I drove a perfect example of this today. A 2015 Tahoe LTZ traded into a dealer with a mere 6725 miles on the clock. It was 3 tons of steel cream puff, but someone wasted a good $20k buying it and trading it in so soon.

I grew up in Wilton, CT. Imagine a wealthy rural town where every husband works in finance in NYC, and every wife is a member of both the garden club and a book club. It’s the kind of place where Porsche ads read: “Porsche: more options than a white kid from Connecticut.”
So what’s the official car? A rock crawling off-roader, but in sellout 4-door form, and only driven in the summer with the top down b/c it’s too difficult to put up and too cold to drive in the winter.
But it’s OK, because the Wrangler is obviously the extra car, and your daughter has a nice Highlander hybrid to drive in the winter.

Most likely driven by someone with no Insurance, Driver License or “Real” License Plates/registration.

GM trucks and SUVs mostly, throw in a few Lambda crossovers for good measure. Cheap Midwestern gas and a strong bias for American brands I guess?

I have no idea. Personally, I loved it. I thought it would be stressful to drive, considering how large it is, but it’s actually quite relaxing and not bad at all dynamically. The gas pedal is a bit conservative with it’s power, but I prefer that to oversensitive. Plus, it was quite comfortable and exquisitely optioned, with great aesthetic appeal inside and out.

My hometown is Seattle, so I’d say Tesla Model S.
Seattle is a very progressive, modern town, and the area is filled with progressive industry (Amazon, Boeing, Microsoft). What better than a progressive car?

Where I live now:
It’s not as luxurious as the town next door, where the Acura MDX lives, but we get the same schools, hospital, police and fire, mostly paid for by them. So Honda Pilot, the smart money’s Acura MDX (also I think half of the town owns one.)
Where I grew up:
The Checker Marathon. 1. they were built in Kalamazoo, and like Kalamazoo people are surprised to find out they are real. Also, built for hard miles and Kalamazoomans have endured a lot.
Where I was born:
Joliet, IL. Simple, the prison is/was there.

Porsche Macan. While there are only a few in my town, they perfectly represent my town. Pretentious? Check. Expensive? Check. Good Looking? Check. Excels at Athletics? Check. Hated by those surrounding it? Check.

I’m originally from a small hick town in southern New-Brunswick. I’d say these would account for about 70% of the automotive population.
Rusty Chevy/Geo Trackers
1st gen Neons with peeling paint
Beater Chevy cavaliers/Pontiac Sunfires
I haven’t been back in 10 years but at the time this is how it was.
